This past weekend was Halloween. It was also the weekend that Rachel and I traveled to Daegu on a journey I like to call "SOUTH KOREA: South." We went to visit our friends, Jodi and Alex, for 3 fabulous days and because we all know that I am terrible at condensing even a short story, allow me to get out of my own way, save you some time, and simply say this.....
Roads were traveled, makgeolli was drunk, peeing of pants due to lack of planning while consuming adult beverages during a really long bus ride almost occurred, friends were met, galbi was eaten, amazingly blonde comments from two natural brunettes were made, naps were taken, plays were seen, costumes were worn, Soju+pineapple juice was discovered (and immediately adored) by Laurie, astounding strangers with our incredible dance moves most definitely happened, and most importantly.... fun was had by all!!
Let me tell you, Daegu is where it's at. It's like a smaller, and therefore more perfect, version of Seoul with more of a traditional Korean feel. But at the same time, it kind of feels like Europe too..... and I'm not exactly sure how that works, but I love it. Anyway, it was a really good time and I can't wait to go back! The following is a photo essay of the events that took place during "SOUTH KOREA: South."
